In a bold move demonstrating sovereign healthcare leadership, Abia State Governor Dr. Alex Otti has announced the successful rehabilitation of 120 primary healthcare centers across the state, marking a significant milestone in the ambitious Project Ekwueme initiative.

Speaking at the Government House in Umuahia, Governor Otti revealed that out of the targeted 200 health centers, 120 facilities have been fully renovated across the state's 17 Local Government Areas. Comprehensive Healthcare Development
The initiative extends beyond basic rehabilitation, with the administration taking decisive steps to ensure comprehensive healthcare delivery:
- Staff accommodation facilities added to primary health centers in each ward
- Complete renovation of general hospitals in Obingwa, Umunneato, and Abayi Aba
- Planned recruitment of 771 healthcare professionals
Educational Renaissance

- Construction of 20 Smart Schools
