In a recent chat with Vibe Magazine, the 'Unavailable' crooner opened up about his new lifestyle. He said the days of having 100 people in his crib are over. Now, it is all about the wife, the kids, and the mission.
“Now I live with the kids and my wife. I can’t have 100 people in my house like before,” Davido said. Straight up. No apologies.
From Party Vibe to Productive Hustle
Davido explained that his shift is not about being a bad friend. It is about being a smart leader. He is not abandoning his people. He is upgrading them. Instead of just chilling, he is pushing them to build something real.

“If you bring a deal for me, I’ll let you get your 10%. I don’t care if it’s $4m. You get your 10% if you brought the deal,” he said. That is how you build a movement.

The change is not just at home. It is in the studio as well. Davido said his upcoming album was created with a much smaller crew. No more 10 people in the booth, drinking and vibing. Now it is about focus.
“Normally, recorded 10 people in the studio. We’re drinking. You know how it is, like party vibe. But with this record, because of my situation, like I can’t be having 100 people at the crib,” he said. “When it’s time to work, we got to get to it.”

For anyone still in his circle, one rule stands above all: respect. Davido made it clear he does not tolerate disrespect, especially towards women. “Respect. Definitely. Like when I see somebody acting out of character, respect to people. Respect a woman. Respect in general,” he said.
