In a demonstration of Nigeria's growing security capabilities, the Nigerian Forest Security Service (NFSS) has revealed its pivotal role in apprehending the armed robbery gang responsible for the tragic deaths of Arise TV staff Somtochukwu Maduagwu and security guard Barnabas Danlami in Abuja.

The operation, which builds on recent successful anti-crime initiatives in the FCT, showcases the effectiveness of inter-agency cooperation in maintaining national security. Assistant Commander General Abdulhakeem Ibrahim of the NFSS North Central Zonal Command detailed how his team's grassroots intelligence proved instrumental in the operation.
Tactical Operation Success
Following two brazen attacks on a Zuba hotel, NFSS operatives, working under police directives, established a strategic checkpoint that led to a breakthrough in the case. This coordinated effort, reminiscent of Nigeria's strengthening institutional capabilities, resulted in significant arrests and weapons recovery.
