It all started on June 8, 2026, when Okonkwo went on Channels Television's Sunrise Daily and allegedly threw some serious accusations at Obi and NDC leaders in the South-East. The actor-turned-politician claimed Obi and his crew were demanding an extra N10 million from House of Representatives aspirants on top of the normal nomination fees. He also alleged that Obi personally compiled the party's candidate list from a hotel room, warned people that Obi would scam them, accused him of collecting money from folks abroad, and even tried to link him to criminal activities.
Obi's Legal Team Claps Back Hard
Obi's lawyer, Alex Ejesieme, SAN, did not mince words in the demand letter titled
