The accident, which occurred at the Chelsea area inbound Atan, involved a commercial motorcycle marked KTU 643 QQ and a Howo truck. The South-West Area Commander of TRACE, Mr. Adekunle Ajibade, confirmed that the motorcycle operator lost control due to excessive speed, resulting in a fatal collision.
